Nintendo reveals exclusive new gameplay for Wii U’s Lego City Undercover

Posted by Steve

I’m known for being an avid casual gamer (is that really a thing?). That’s true: I do love casual games and a bit less all the more serious one. My preferred franchise is of course the Lego one. I could not be more curious about the latest game from TT Games Lego City Undercover for the Wii U. You ‘ll know why after the jump.

Lego City Undercover is the first game from TT Games to not be based on any franchise but on the popular LEGO City set & its vehicles!

You play as Chase McCain, an undercover police officer armed with clever disguises, and your goal is to catch and bring to justice the villain Rex Fury. You can play more with more than 100 of beloved LEGO City’s vehicles. When the first trailer popup at E3, I started to be intrigued. Let’s watch it another time together.

A month ago, Nintendo released a very exciting trailer where we discover more of the gameplay: the Wii U GamePad controller is used to scan for hidden clues and criminals, receive mission updates, and place waypoints on an overhead city map that displays their position in real time.

Finally, they have put out a pair of new TV spots to promote the upcoming Wii U exclusive’s “disguises” and “vehicles,” both of which feature some all-new gameplay that we haven’t seen yet.

Pretty neat, isn’t it? This game alone could make me the jump to the new Nintendo Wii U.

If you are ready to make the jump or if you already own a Wii U, Lego City Undercover  will be released next Monday (3/18) but you can pre-order it from Amazon with free shipping by clicking here.
