WWDC, Apple’s annual developers conference, just kicked off yesterday with a lot of announcement, introducing the next major release of iOS and OSX, iOS 8 & Yosemite respectively and a lot of new technologies for developers. At the same time, Apple also unveiled the winners of the Apple Design Awards 2014 with some really great software. Get my favorites and the full list.

Released a few years ago, Plants vs. Zombies has been a real phenomena. Apple recently revealed that this game is the 12th top all time paid app for the iPhone. Fans all around the world have been awaiting for the next chapter and PopCap finally announced that they will release the sequel on July 18. A really cool second trailer is available after the jump.
